We’re a NETCC Approved Seller
Solar is one of the biggest investments most people make in their home, so we don’t think accreditation should be optional. That’s why Riverside Solar became a New Energy Tech Approved Seller under the New Energy Tech Consumer Code (NETCC), the solar industry’s toughest consumer protection standard.
The NETCC is administered by the Clean Energy Council and authorised by the ACCC. It sets standards for the whole customer journey: honest sales and marketing, clear quotes with no hidden costs, safe and on-time installation, and responsive after-sales support and warranty service. Businesses have to actively apply and prove they meet these standards, and can be audited to make sure they keep meeting them.
It’s a voluntary code, and fewer than half the solar businesses in Australia hold it, which tells you most of the industry is happy to get by on the bare minimum. We’d rather be judged against a higher bar, because it’s the same bar we’d want if we were the ones buying a system.
